Increases the widow's annuity for certain surviving spouses of members who die on or after January 1, 2002. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) The fiscal impact of SB 140 has not been determined, but is estimated to be relatively minor. According to the Fund's 1999 actuarial valuation, 139 spouses began receiving surviving spouse annuities in 1999.
