PANKAU. 210 ILCS 45/2-203 from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4152-203 210 ILCS 45/2-203.5 new Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. In provisions concerning residents' advisory councils, provides that the councils shall be composed of 5 members (instead of as specified by rules of the Department of Public Health). Provides that a facility having 200 or more beds may establish additional residents' advisory councils for various smaller units within the facility. Provides that all council meetings must be open to participation by all residents of the facility (or by all residents of a smaller unit within the facility in the case of a council established for that unit) and by members of the residents' families. Provides that each facility must develop and implement a plan for ensuring liaison with concerned individuals and groups in the local community in which the facility is located. Makes other changes.
