   40 ILCS 5/5-237                                                             
   40 ILCS 5/9-121.13                                                          

        Amends the  Chicago  Police  and  Cook  County  Articles  of  the      
   Illinois  Pension  Code.   Extends  the  deadline  for the transfer of      
   credits and creditable service earned by a member of a  county  police      
   department  under  the  Chicago  Police Fund into the Cook County Fund      
   from July 1, 1998 to July 1, 2002.  Effective immediately.
