MOORE. New Act 10 ILCS 5/28-1 from Ch. 46, par. 28-1 Creates the Land Preservation Initiative Act and amends the Election Code. Provides for a statewide advisory referendum at the 2002 general election as to whether the General Assembly should increase the State sales tax by .125% to fund a program to preserve the State's open space. Exempts the referendum from the limit of 3 advisory questions per general election.
