BOLAND-MATHIAS AND DART. 55 ILCS 5/5-1005.5 new 65 ILCS 5/3.1-40-60 new Amends the Counties Code and the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a county or municipality may authorize an advisory question of public policy to be placed on the ballot at a regularly scheduled election. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Elections) HB 1980 would have minimal fiscal impact on the operations of the Board. Any cost to implement the provisions of HB 1980 can be absorbed within the Board's regular operating budget.
