 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Frederick A. Rupley, in  addition  to  a  public
 3    service  career that spans 45 years, was appointed in 2002 to
 4    represent the 7th District in the Illinois Senate; and

 5        WHEREAS, Frederick honorably served his  country  in  the
 6    U.S.  Army  Reserves  from  1954 to 1960 earning an honorable
 7    discharge; and

 8        WHEREAS, Frederick has continued his  public  service  by
 9    being  a  senior  advisor  to members of the Illinois General
10    Assembly and Chicago Aldermen and for the last two years with
11    the Illinois Office of Banks and  Real  Estate  by  informing
12    community groups on the crime of Identity Theft; and

13        WHEREAS,  He  served  the  people  of Illinois within the
14    Department of Professional Regulation for more than 14 years;
15    and

16        WHEREAS, Frederick remains politically active in  Chicago
17    by being the 38th Ward Regular Republican Committeeman and an
18    active member and top precinct captain; and

19        WHEREAS,   For  22  years,  he  was  a  successful  sales
20    representative  for  the  William  H.  Rorer   Pharmaceutical
21    Company; and

22        WHEREAS,  Frederick, graduated from Steinmetz High School
23    and earned an  associates  degree  in  Business  from  Wright
24    Junior College in Chicago; and

25        WHEREAS,  Fred  and his wife, Jeanette, have two children
26    and one grandchild; therefore be it

27        RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-SECOND  GENERAL
28    ASSEMBLY  OF  THE  STATE  OF  ILLINOIS,  that we congratulate
29    Frederick A. Rupley as he leaves the Illinois Senate and wish
30    him well in all his future endeavors; and be it further
