1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Illinois was saddened
3 to learn of the death of Helen K. Biever of Aurora on Friday,
4 August 2, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Biever was born March 7, 1908 in Aurora to
6 Charles and Catherine Kopp; she married Carl F. Biever on
7 November 10, 1937; he preceded her in death on October 31,
8 1969; and
9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Biever was an energetic and active member
10 of the community; she was a member of Holy Angels Church and
11 the St. Anne Society, the Child Welfare Society, Mercy
12 Hospital, the Pressed Glass Club, the Aurora Women's Club,
13 and the Aurora Country Club; she was an avid bridge player;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, Her passing will be felt by many, especially her
16 son, Thomas (Kay) Biever; her daughter, Susan Grey; six
17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister, Leona
18 Readey; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
21 Helen K. Biever; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to the family of Helen K. Biever with our sincere
24 condolences.
