1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Victor "Vic" Erday, Jr., formerly of
4 Geneva, who passed away June 11, 2002, in Naples, Florida;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Erday was the owner of Erday's men's
7 clothing store in Geneva for more than 30 years, having taken
8 over the business from his father in the 1950s; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Erday was the president of the Geneva
10 Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Geneva Planning
11 Board, and he helped start Swedish Days; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Erday will be deeply missed by all those who
13 knew him and loved him, especially his wife of 54 years,
14 Maria; his daughter, Susie (Jay) Davis; his five sons, Victor
15 III (Peggy), Jim (Sue), Bob (Debbie), Ron, and Jeff; his nine
16 grandchildren; his brother, John (Joyce); his two sisters,
17 Helen (Grigg) Fountain and Irene (Pat) Kamat; therefore, be
18 it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
21 his family and friends, the passing of Victor "Vic" Erday,
22 Jr.; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of Victor Erday, Jr., with our
25 sincere condolences.
