1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Edward M. Lee, Jr., who passed away on November 13, 2001;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, Edward M. Lee was born on May 17, 1945 in
7 Carlinville, Illinois to Edward M. Sr. and Virginia L. Ray
8 Lee; he married Wanda L. Downs on January 14, 1968 at
9 Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Lee was a 1964 graduate of Carlinville High
11 School and a veteran of the United States Army; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Lee was employed as a millwright at Pioneer
13 Hybrid Seed in Litchfield for 15 years; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Lee was a member of Carlinville Moose Lodge
15 #1216 and Guy Baird American Legion Post #554; and
16 WHEREAS, The passing of Edward M. Lee, Jr. will be deeply
17 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife,
18 Wanda Lee; his sons, Duane (wife, Amee) Lee and Roger (wife,
19 Deanna) Lee; his grandson, Damon Lee; his brother, Roy (wife,
20 Elaine) Lee; his sister, Ruth A. Fritz; and his several
21 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all who knew him, the death of Edward M. Lee, Jr. of
25 Carlinville, Illinois, and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Edward M. Lee, Jr. with our
28 sincere condolences.
