1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Roland F. "Ron" Moeller, who passed away on November 5,
5 2001; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Moeller was the owner of Roland F. Moeller &
7 Co./Moeller Realty; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Moeller served with the United States Army,
9 397 Division, Company M, during World War II, fighting in the
10 European and Pacific theaters; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Moeller was a past president of the Downers
12 Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he was a member
13 for nearly 50 years; he served on many committees and was
14 honored in 1990 as the chamber's "Outstanding Volunteer"; and
15 WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the Downers Grove
16 Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Moeller was past president of the
17 Lions Club, the Downers Grove Ecumenical Council of Churches,
18 and the consistory of St. Paul's United Church of Christ; he
19 also served as a past district commissioner of the Des
20 Plaines Valley Boy Scout Council; and
21 WHEREAS, The passing of Roland F. "Ron" Moeller will be
22 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his
23 wife of 54 years, Marion; his daughter, Vicki Bridges; his
24 brother, Leo Richter; and his two grandchildren; therefore,
25 be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
28 all who knew him, the death of Roland F. "Ron" Moeller of
29 Downers Grove, Illinois; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

2 sincere condolences.
