1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Denise Johnson, who passed away on October 14, 2001; and
5 WHEREAS, Denise Johnson, lovingly known as "Gypsy" was
6 born on March 8, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois; and
7 WHEREAS, Denise Johnson attended Van Vessingen Grammar
8 School and graduated from Fenger High School Academy; and
9 WHEREAS, Denise Johnson was a member of Greater Pleasant
10 Green Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago; and
11 WHEREAS, The passing of Denise Johnson will be deeply
12 felt by all who knew and love her, especially her parents;
13 her children, Steve (wife, Kawanna), Eric, Timika (husband,
14 Chris), Jamahl, Denise (husband, Darryl), Shenise (husband,
15 Terrell), and William; her 12 grandchildren; her 6 brothers;
16 her 8 sisters; her special friends, Alicia, Beverly and
17 Glynda; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
18 in-laws, and other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
21 all who knew her, the death of Denise Johnson of Chicago,
22 Illinois; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to the family of Denise Johnson with our sincere
25 condolences.
