1 AN ACT in relation to highways.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by
5 adding Section 4-202.5 as follows:
6 (605 ILCS 5/4-202.5 new)
7 Sec. 4-202.5. Allocation of State highway funds. The
8 Department shall allocate among the Department of
9 Transportation districts of this State the amounts
10 appropriated annually for the State highway system. The
11 amount allocated to a district shall be in the proportion
12 which the total State highway usage in the district bears to
13 the total usage of all highways in the State highway system.
14 The Secretary shall adopt rules for implementing this
15 Section.
