1 AN ACT concerning the Attorney General.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Attorney General Act is amended by adding
5 Section 10 as follows:
6 (15 ILCS 205/10 new)
7 Sec. 10. Review of FOID card laws and procedures. The
8 Attorney General shall conduct a review of all firearm owner
9 identification (FOID) card laws and procedures throughout the
10 State in consultation with State's Attorneys and law
11 enforcement agencies. The Attorney General shall report the
12 findings of the review to the Governor and General Assembly
13 by January 1, 2002.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
