 1        AN ACT in relation to children.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act
 5    is amended by changing Section 11.2 and adding Section  11.2a
 6    as follows:

 7        (325 ILCS 5/11.2) (from Ch. 23, par. 2061.2)
 8        Sec.  11.2.  Disclosure  to  mandated  reporting  source.
 9    Upon  request,  A  mandated  reporting  source as provided in
10    Section 4 of this Act  may  receive  appropriate  information
11    about  the findings and actions taken by the Child Protective
12    Service Unit in response to its report. The information shall
13    include the actions taken by  the  Child  Protective  Service
14    Unit to ensure a child's safety.

17        Sec.  11.2a.  Disclosure to extended family member.  Upon
18    request, an extended family member interviewed  for  relevant
19    information  in  the  course of an investigation by the Child
20    Protective Service Unit may receive  appropriate  information
21    about  the findings and actions taken by the Child Protective
22    Service Unit to ensure the safety of the  child  or  children
23    who were the subjects of the investigation.
