 1        AN ACT concerning vehicles.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Illinois  Vehicle  Code  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 1-106.5 as follows:

 6        (625 ILCS 5/1-106.5)
 7        Sec.  1-106.5.  Bumper.   Any  Every  device or system of
 8    devices protruding from and attached to the front and rear of
 9    a motor vehicle that has been designed to be used  to  absorb
10    the  impact of a collision.  For the purposes of this Code, a
11    bumper also includes a device or system of devices similar in
12    design to those with which new motor vehicles are equipped.
