1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincerest condolences
4 to the family and friends of Karen Lynette Hubbard, who
5 recently passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, On July 2, 1966 in the City of Chicago, Karen
7 Lynette Hubbard was born to the proud parents Alice Hubbard
8 and Gregory Minniefield; and
9 WHEREAS, From birth Karen Lynette Hubbard suffered from
10 devastating Crohn's Disease; and
11 WHEREAS, Karen Lynette Hubbard nevertheless graduated
12 from Proviso East High School and RObert Morris Business
13 College; she worked as an administrator in the office of the
14 Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County and later worked
15 for several Chicago area law firms; and
16 WHEREAS, Karen Lynette Hubbard was considered by everyone
17 to be very positive and loving with great people skills and
18 was very bright, witty, friendly, concerned, and caring; and
19 WHEREAS, In spite of her illness, Karen Lynette Hubbard
20 had a great flair for life and enjoyed it to its fullest
21 every moment she had; she never let her condition stifle her
22 joy, zest, and great spirit; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we mourn, along with all who knew her, the death of Karen
26 Lynette Hubbard of Chicago; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of Karen Lynette Hubbard with our
29 sincere condolences.
