1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that George Hook of
6 Waukegan is celebrating the 104th anniversary of his birth;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, George Hook was born on April 23, 1898, in
9 Gurnee, Illinois; and
10 WHEREAS, A veteran of World War I, Mr. Hook worked for
11 the railroad for 30 years; after his retirement, he worked
12 for 10 years for the Waukegan Park District; and
13 WHEREAS, George Hook is the proud father of his son,
14 George; and
15 WHEREAS, Waukegan Township, in conjunction with the
16 Waukegan Exchange Club, will honor George Hook and five other
17 Centenarians at the "Celebration of Life" on July 9, 2002;
18 therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate George Hook on the occasion of his 104th
22 birthday and extend to him our sincere best wishes for the
23 future; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to George Hook as an expression of our respect and
26 esteem.
