 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  are honored to recognize milestone events in
 4    the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and

 5        WHEREAS,  It  has  come  to  our  attention  that  Dennis
 6    Bossinger is retiring from his position as superintendent  of
 7    Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School after 31 years with
 8    the school; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Dennis  Bossinger  grew  up  in  East  Chicago,
10    Indiana;  he  attended  Indiana  University for a time before
11    returning to East Chicago to work in the  steel  mills  as  a
12    millwrights helper; he then decided to go to Eastern Illinois
13    University, where he played football and made the decision to
14    become a teacher; and

15        WHEREAS,  He received a master's degree at the University
16    of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, received  a  certificate  of
17    advanced  study at Illinois State University, and has studied
18    at DePaul University and the University of Chicago; and

19        WHEREAS, Dennis Bossinger began  his  31-year  career  at
20    Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School as a social studies
21    teacher  and a track and basketball coach; during his time at
22    Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School,  Dennis  Bossinger
23    held  the  positions  of  dean  of  students, head of student
24    affairs, assistant to the superintendent in charge  of  Title
25    I, and business manager; and

26        WHEREAS, During his time at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community
27    High  School,  many  changes  have taken place at the school,
28    including expansion of the  curriculum,  athletics,  and  the
29    special education program; and

30        WHEREAS,  Dennis  Bossinger  plans to keep busy after his
31    retirement with volunteer work, reading,  and  spending  time

 1    with  his  family,  including his wife, Cindy, four children,
 2    two step-children, and two step-grandchildren; therefore,  be
 3    it

 4        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
 5    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
 6    we congratulate Dennis Bossinger on his retirement  after  31
 7    years   of  dedication  and  service  to  Bradley-Bourbonnais
 8    Community High School; and be it further

 9        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
10    presented to Dennis Bossinger as an expression of our esteem.
