1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable achievements
4 in school sports in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the New Lenox
6 Martino Junior High School Boys Wrestling Team recently won
7 the 2002 Illinois Elementary School Association State
8 Wrestling Title; and
9 WHEREAS, The team totaled 193 points with nine individual
10 placewinners in the two-day meet at Northern Illinois
11 University; Bloomington Junior High School was second with
12 184 points, followed by Sandwich with 174 points,
13 Mahamet-Seymour with 134 points, Coal City with 94 points,
14 and Troy Middle School with 88 points; and
15 WHEREAS, Team placewinners include Eddie Ewing (second,
16 135 pounds), Mike Knowles (second, 75 pounds), Luis Mejia
17 (third, 105 pounds), John Hakenjos (third, 145 pounds),
18 Brennan Novak (fourth, 90 pounds), Jake Beechy (fourth, 80
19 pounds), Brad Musil (fourth, 105 pounds), Bobby Brodinski
20 (fifth, 70 pounds), and Cory Ryan (fifth, 155 pounds); and
21 WHEREAS, The members of the team are Kyle Casey, Bob
22 Brodinski, John Janus, Mike Knowles, Kyle Conrad, Jake
23 Beechy, Tyler Gagan, Kurt Watt, William Fenogilo, Brennan
24 Novak, Mike Piechocinski, Adam Seliga, Rich Olszewski, Zack
25 Grasso, Pat Merfeld, Brad Musil, Luis Mejia, Eric Scanlan,
26 Nico Calvi, Derek Rybak, Brian Lenard, Gavin Kurtz, Eddie
27 Ewing, Kyle Siwinski, John Hakenjos, Brett Coffou, Cory Ryan,
28 Ted Wiersema, Kevin Clark, Adam Briggs, Ed Cochran, T.J.
29 Hall, and Harrison Harnisch; and the coaches are Steve
30 DeNeut, Jim Havlin, Dave Ulstad, Jeff Klotz, and Nick
31 Piechocinski; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we congratulate the New Lenox Martino Junior High School Boys
4 Wrestling Team on winning the Illinois Elementary School
5 Association State Wrestling Title; and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to coaches Steve DeNeut, Jim Havlin, Dave Ulstad,
8 Jeff Klotz, and Nick Piechocinski and to each member of the
9 team as an expression of our esteem.
