 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  are honored to recognize milestone events in
 4    the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and

 5        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 6    Representatives  wish  to acknowledge Charles E. Crook on the
 7    occasion of his retirement from the staff of the City of Lake
 8    Forest, Illinois, for his many years of dedicated  leadership
 9    and service to the City and its residents; and

10        WHEREAS,  Charles  E. Crook has been employed by the City
11    of Lake Forest for 24 years and began in 1977 as an  employee
12    for  the  City and has served as the Director of Planning and
13    Development and the Director of  Community  Development  over
14    these years; and

15        WHEREAS,  Charles  E. Crook has played a significant role
16    in the aesthetic beauty and quality of  development  in  Lake
17    Forest; and

18        WHEREAS,  Charles E. Crook has provided leadership in the
19    development  of  Lake  Forest's  innovative  Building   Scale
20    Ordinance,  the  Comprehensive  Plan for the City in 1977 and
21    1998, the Tax Incremental Finance District Plan, and  various
22    Central Business District studies; and

23        WHEREAS,  Charles  E.  Crook  will be honored by the Lake
24    Forest   City   Council   on   March   21,   2002   for   his
25    professionalism, vision, and integrity on behalf of the City,
26    and his mentoring and  friendship  to  countless  City  staff
27    members over the years; therefore, be it

28        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
29    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30    we congratulate Charles E. Crook  upon  his  retirement,  and
31    wish  him  well  in  all  of  his future endeavors; and be it

 2        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 3    presented  to  Charles  E.  Crook  as  an  expression  of our
 4    gratitude.
