1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Dolores Ryan
6 is celebrating the seventieth anniversary of her birth; and
7 WHEREAS, Mrs. Ryan was born on February 13, 1932, on
8 Chicago's South Side, to Ted and Mary Szelung; and
9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Ryan attended St. Bronislava Grade School
10 and graduated from the first coeducational class at Chicago
11 Vocational High School, where she was also a member of the
12 cheerleading squad; and
13 WHEREAS, Dolores Ryan was married to the late Robert L.
14 Ryan, Sr.; and
15 WHEREAS, Dolores Ryan is also the daughter-in-law of
16 former State Representative John G. Ryan and the mother of
17 State Representative Bob Ryan; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we congratulate Dolores Ryan on the occasion of her
21 seventieth birthday and extend to her our sincere best wishes
22 for the future; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Dolores Ryan as an expression of our respect and
25 esteem.
