 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  are honored to recognize milestone events in
 4    the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and

 5        WHEREAS, It has come to our  attention  that  William  P.
 6    Schreiber  has retired from the Chicago Fire Department after
 7    33 years of service; and

 8        WHEREAS, Mr. Schreiber began his career with the  Chicago
 9    Fire  Department  on November 1, 1968, and at the time of his
10    retirement in September, 2001, he  served  as  a  Firefighter
11    assigned to Engine 124; and

12        WHEREAS,  Mr. Schreiber throughout his career has had the
13    love and support of  his  wife  of  34  years,  Roseann,  his
14    children, Denise and Sandra, and his grandchildren Justin and
15    Sara; and

16        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Schreiber's  plan for retirement is to one
17    day be able to shoot his age on the golf  course  and  to  be
18    able to out drive his playing partners just one time; and

19        WHEREAS,  Members  of  the  Chicago  Fire Department will
20    celebrate the service of William Schreiber  at  a  retirement
21    party on February 20, 2002; therefore, be it

22        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
23    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24    we congratulate William P. Schreiber on his retirement  after
25    33  years  of  dedication  and  service  to  the Chicago Fire
26    Department; and be it further

27        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
28    presented  to  William  P.  Schreiber as an expression of our
29    esteem.
