1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are honored to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Michael
6 Romancik has retired from the Chicago Fire Department after
7 32 years of service; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Romancik began his career with the Chicago
9 Fire Department on October 2, 1967, and at the time of his
10 retirement in September, 1999, he served as a Lieutenant
11 assigned to Engine 79; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Romancik throughout his career has had the
13 love and support of his wife, Barbara; and
14 WHEREAS, Members of the Chicago Fire Department will
15 celebrate the service of Michael Romancik at a retirement
16 party on February 20, 2002; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Michael Romancik on his retirement after 32
20 years of dedication and service to the Chicago Fire
21 Department; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Michael Romancik as an expression of our esteem.
