1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Roy W.
6 Gustafson is retiring from his duties as a Patrol Officer
7 with the Montgomery Police Department this year; and
8 WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Gustafson has served the Village
9 of Montgomery, Illinois for the past 22 years; and
10 WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Montgomery Police
11 Department, Officer Gustafson has served as a Patrol Officer,
12 a Detective, and a Juvenile Officer; in addition, he started
13 the Neighborhood Watch Program in Montgomery; and
14 WHEREAS, Officer Gustafson's outstanding conduct has
15 resulted in many letters of appreciation from the community;
16 he is a professional, dedicated, and exemplary representative
17 of the Montgomery Police Department and the Village of
18 Montgomery, Illinois; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate Officer Roy W. Gustafson on his retirement
22 from the Montgomery Police Department and we wish him well in
23 all of his future endeavors; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Officer Roy W. Gustafson as an expression of our
26 esteem.
