1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable achievements
4 in high school sports; and
5 WHEREAS, On November 3, 2001, the Naperville North High
6 School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team, the Huskies, won the
7 IHSA State Class AA Cross Country Championship held at
8 Detweiller Park in Peoria, Illinois; and
9 WHEREAS, During their outstanding season, the Huskies
10 also won the DuPage Valley Conference Championship and the
11 IHSA Regional and Sectional Championships; and
12 WHEREAS, The 2001 Naperville North Huskies team consists
13 of Sherri Albus, Lisa Bonistalli, Elizabeth Higgins, Michele
14 Lally, Marie Thomas, Joanna Veth, Christine Wang, and Angie
15 Vargos and alternates Amy Ankenbrandt, Bryn Levitan, and Kate
16 Prazak; their head coach is Dan Iverson and their assistant
17 coach is Jenny Marine; and
18 WHEREAS, During their victorious season, the Huskies
19 displayed outstanding sportsmanship and dedication and
20 represented Naperville North High School, their fans, and the
21 Naperville community with distinction; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we congratulate the Naperville North Girls Varsity Cross
25 Country Team on winning the 2001 IHSA Class AA Cross Country
26 Championship; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Ross Truemper, principal of Naperville North
29 High School, Dan Iverson, head coach of the Huskies,
30 assistant coach Jenny Marine, and each member of the team.
