 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  wish to express their sincere condolences to
 4    the family and friends of D. Kyle Haslett, who passed away on
 5    June 8, 2001; and

 6        WHEREAS, D. Kyle Haslett was born on  July  17,  1957  in
 7    Vandalia,  Illinois  to  Clarence  Andrew and Jessie Margaret
 8    Haslett; he married Melissa Ann McMenamy in April 22, 1995 in
 9    Nashville, Illinois; and

10        WHEREAS, D. Kyle Haslett was a member  of  the  Nashville
11    Police  Department  since May of 1995; for the last couple of
12    years he served as the school resource officer  at  Nashville
13    Community High School; and

14        WHEREAS,  D.  Kyle  Haslett was a member of the Fraternal
15    Order of Police and attended Grace United Methodist Church in
16    Nashville; and

17        WHEREAS, The passing of D. Kyle Haslett  will  be  deeply
18    felt  by  all  who  knew  and loved him, especially his wife,
19    Melissa; his daughter, Maddisson; his mother, Jessie Haslett;
20    his sister; his father and  mother  in-law,  Jack  and  Karen
21    McMenamy; his brother-in-law, Randy Heard; and the members of
22    the  Nashville Police Department who had the honor of working
23    with this brave man; therefore, be it

24        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
25    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26    we  mourn,  along with all who knew him, the death of D. Kyle
27    Haslett of Nashville, Illinois; and be it further

28        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
29    presented  to  the family of D. Kyle Haslett with our sincere
30    condolences.
