1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestone events in the
4 lives of citizens of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Pastor Mark Emerson has faithfully served as
6 Pastor of the Living Faith Baptist Church in Sherman,
7 Illinois, since August 1991; and
8 WHEREAS, Pastor Mark Emerson has demonstrated his many
9 talents over the years, as pastor, preacher, teacher,
10 vocalist, humorist, construction worker, shepherd, father,
11 and friend; and
12 WHEREAS, Pastor Mark Emerson has faithfully baptized more
13 than 100 people and has caused the Living Faith Baptist
14 Church congregation to grow from a mere handful to hundreds
15 of members; and
16 WHEREAS, Pastor Mark Emerson successfully led the
17 congregation through a building project, completing a new
18 building and embarking on the planned construction of an
19 additional building to provide further space; and
20 WHEREAS, Pastor Mark Emerson and his wife, Tammie, are
21 truly God's servants and a gift sent to bless the Living
22 Faith Baptist Church, and they and their family are loved
23 more than words could ever express; therefore be it
24 RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Pastor Mark Emerson on the 10th Anniversary
27 of his service as pastor, and we declare August 25, 2001, as
28 Pastor Mark Emerson Appreciation Day at the Living Faith
29 Baptist Church in Sherman, Illinois; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to Pastor Mark Emerson as an expression of our
2 esteem.
