1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable citizens of
4 the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Ron Cunningham
6 is stepping down from his duties as a village trustee for the
7 village of Antioch; and
8 WHEREAS, Ron Cunningham has proudly served the village of
9 Antioch with dedication for twenty-eight years; during his
10 tenure as a trustee he was appointed to a variety of
11 committees including the Police and Civil Defense Committee,
12 the Finance Committee, the Fire Department, the Legislative
13 and Transportation Committee, and Public Safety Committee;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, In addition to his duties as a village trustee,
16 Ron Cunningham served as an active member of the Antioch Fire
17 Department from 1959 until 1982, as Assistant Chief Engineer,
18 as an inactive member of the Antioch Fire Department from
19 1982 to the present day, and as past President of the Antioch
20 Fire Department; he is also a member of the Antioch Moose
21 Lodge; and
22 WHEREAS, Ron Cunningham is supported by his loving
23 family, which includes his wife, Mary, his children, Julie
24 Cunningham and Sandy (husband, Scott) Plank, and his
25 granddaughter, Savannah Plank; his father, Merle "Mo" Wilson
26 Cunningham served the village of Antioch as a village trustee
27 from 1945 through 1957, and as mayor from 1957 to 1965;
28 therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
31 we congratulate Ron Cunningham for his dedicated service and

1 commitment as a village trustee for the past 28 years to the
2 village of Antioch; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Ron Cunningham as an expression of our esteem.
