 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  wish to express their sincere condolences to
 4    the family and friends of David Lee  Litwiler,  Sr.  of  Long
 5    Lake, Illinois, who recently passed away; and

 6        WHEREAS,  David Lee Litwiler, Sr. was born in Round Lake,
 7    Illinois, on November 16, 1933; his parents  were  Milton  J.
 8    Litwiler and Norma A. Litwiler; and

 9        WHEREAS,  David  Lee  Litwiler,  Sr. was a veteran of the
10    United States Army, serving in  the  Korean  War;  he  was  a
11    member  of  the  International  Union  of Operating Engineers
12    Local 150  in  Countryside  for  twenty-five  years;  he  was
13    employed  with  the  Donald  D.  McNeal Crane Corporation for
14    twenty years, until his retirement in 1995; and

15        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Litwiler  cared  deeply  for  his  church,
16    Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ingleside;  the  first
17    church  services  were  held in the home of his grandparents,
18    and he continued the  family  tradition  of  caring  for  the
19    church;   he  served  as  the  chairman  of  the  landscaping
20    committee, and was making future plans for the church at  the
21    time of his passing; and

22        WHEREAS,  Mr. Litwiler was a member of the Grant Township
23    Republican Club, a  twenty-year  member  of  the  Rising  Sun
24    Masonic  Lodge #115 of Grayslake, and a member of the Eastern
25    Star Sorosis Chapter in Grayslake; in 1980 Mr.  Litwiler  was
26    appointed  chairman  of  the  Squaw  Creek Drainage District,
27    holding that position until 1996; and

28        WHEREAS, Mr. Litwiler was a former stock car owner and an
29    avid fan of NASCAR; Mr. Litwiler was also a  fan  of  boating
30    and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and

31        WHEREAS,  The  passing of David Lee Litwiler, Sr. will be

 1    deeply felt by his family and friends, especially his  loving
 2    wife  of  more  than  thirty-nine  years, Donna-Mae; his son,
 3    David Lee "D.L." Litwiler, Jr.;  his  daughter,  Leslie  Lynn
 4    (husband,  Richard  "Rick") White; his granddaughters, Nicole
 5    Lynn White and Danielle Werhan White; his brother, Milton  J.
 6    (wife,  Mona)  Litwiler; his sister, Barbara J. (husband, the
 7    late  Daniel)  Zelenko;  his  aunt,  Joan  (husband,  Donald)
 8    Hollenbeck; his uncles, Neil (wife, the late  Betty)  Werhan,
 9    and   Frank   "Buddy"   (wife,   the  late  Eva)  Amann;  his
10    brother-in-law, Victor (wife, Billie) Nix, Jr.; and his  many
11    cousins,  nieces,  nephews,  great-nieces, great-nephews, and
12    many friends; therefore, be it

13        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
14    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15    we  extend  our sympathies to the family and friends of David
16    Lee Litwiler, Sr. at this time; and be it further

17        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
18    presented to the family of David Lee Litwiler, Sr.
