1 AN ACT in relation to property taxes.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
5 Section 19-60 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 200/19-60)
7 Sec. 19-60. Bond as security for taxes collected. The
8 bond of every county or township collector shall be held to
9 be security for the payment by the collector to the county
10 treasurer and the taxing districts and proper authorities, of
11 all taxes, special assessments which are collected or
12 received on their behalf, and of all penalties which are
13 recovered against him or her.
