1 AN ACT concerning the Department of Public Health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Public Health Act is
5 amended by changing Section 8 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 2305/8) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 22.06)
7 Sec. 8. Poison resource centers. From funds appropriated
8 to it for this purpose, the Department of Public Health shall
9 annually make grants to regional poison resource centers to
10 provide fast, accurate information for poison prevention,
11 detection, surveillance, and treatment. The Department of
12 Public Health shall develop standards to delineate the
13 responsibilities of poison resource centers receiving funds
14 under this Section.
