1 AN ACT concerning the Legislative Audit Commission.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Legislative Audit Commission Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (25 ILCS 150/1) (from Ch. 63, par. 104)
7 Sec. 1. The Legislative Audit Commission, hereafter in
8 this Act referred to as the "Commission", is hereby created
9 as a legislative support services agency subject to the
10 Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984. The
11 Commission shall ascertain facts, review reports and take
12 action thereon, and make recommendations and reports to the
13 General Assembly and to the houses thereof concerning the
14 audit, revenues and expenditures of the State, its
15 departments, subdivisions, and agencies whether created by
16 the Constitution or otherwise, and such related matters as
17 may be directed by the Joint Committee on Legislative Support
18 Services. The Commission shall have continuing existence and
19 may meet, act, and conduct its business at any place within
20 this State, during the sessions of the General Assembly or
21 any recess thereof, and in the interim periods between
22 sessions.
