1 AN ACT concerning the Department on Aging.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5 adding Section 8.10 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 105/8.10 new)
7 Sec. 8.10. Medicaid eligibility counseling. The
8 Department must establish and implement a program in which
9 applicants for services provided or authorized by the
10 Department are counseled as to their eligibility for Medicaid
11 under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code. The
12 Department must adopt rules necessary for the implementation
13 of this Section.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
15 2002.
