1 AN ACT concerning the roofing industry.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Roofing Industry Licensing Act
5 is amended by changing Section 2.1 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 335/2.1) (from Ch. 111, par. 7502.1)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2006)
8 Sec. 2.1. Powers and duties of the Department.
9 (1) The Department may exercise the following powers and
10 duties subject to the provisions of this Act:
11 (a) To prescribe forms of application for
12 certificates of registration.
13 (b) To pass upon the qualifications of applicants
14 for certificates of registration and issue certificates
15 of registration to those found to be fit and qualified.
16 (c) To conduct hearings on proceedings to revoke,
17 suspend or otherwise discipline or to refuse to issue or
18 renew certificates of registration.
19 (d) To formulate rules and regulations when
20 required for the administration and enforcement of this
21 Act.
22 (2) The Department shall issue quarterly to the Board a
23 report of the status of all complaints related to the
24 profession received by the Department.
