1 AN ACT in relation to health.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Community Services Act is amended by
5 adding Section 4.05 as follows:
6 (405 ILCS 30/4.05 new)
7 Sec. 4.05. Public moneys; transition from institution to
8 community. If public moneys are paid for the support of an
9 individual who resides in an institution, and if that
10 individual becomes a recipient of community services under
11 this Act upon his or her discharge from that institution, the
12 Department of Human Services must ensure that the amount of
13 public moneys paid for the support of that individual in the
14 community-services setting is not less than the amount of
15 public moneys paid for the support of that individual in the
16 institutional setting.
