1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3420
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3420, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu
4 thereof the following:
5 "Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much of
6 those amounts as may be necessary, respectively, are
7 appropriated for the objects and purposes hereinafter named
8 to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the
9 Legislative Research Unit:

11 For Employee Retirement Contributions
12 Paid by Employer.............................. 35,300
13 For State Contribution to State Employees'
14 Retirement System............................. 87,800
15 For State Contribution to Social
16 Security...................................... 67,500
17 For Contractual Services........................ 59,900
18 For Travel...................................... 12,250
19 For Commodities................................. 11,600
20 For Printing.................................... 19,400
21 For Equipment................................... 99,500
22 For Telecommunications Services................. 20,000
23 For New Member Conference....................... 30,000

1 Section 10. The following named amounts, or so much of
2 those amounts as may be necessary, respectively, are
3 appropriated to the Illinois Legislative Research Unit for
4 the following purposes:
5 For payment of expenses of the
6 Legislative Staff Intern program,
7 including stipends, tuition, and
8 administration for 20 persons................. $ 487,600
9 For payment of expenses of the Zeke
10 Giorgi Memorial Intern Program, including
11 stipends, tuition, and administration
12 for 4 persons................................. 91,900
13 Total $579,500
14 Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
15 1, 2001.".
