 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3247

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3247,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    after the end of Section 910, by inserting the following:

 4        "Section  915.   Both  the Illinois State Bar Association
 5    and the State of Illinois claim an ownership interest in  the
 6    following described land:
 7        The  South  16 feet of the East 160 feet of the North 232
 8        feet of Lot 47 of Assessor's Subdivision of the Northeast
 9        Quarter of Section 33 and the West Half of the  Northwest
10        Quarter of Section 34, Township 16 North, Range 5 West of
11        the   Third  Principal  Meridian;  situated  in  Sangamon
12        County, Illinois.
13        The land is located to  the  rear  of  the  Illinois  Bar
14    Center  on South Second Street in Springfield and is adjacent
15    on the north to the property upon  which  the  Supreme  Court
16    Building  is located.  The land may once have been used as an
17    alley and is currently being used by the Attorney General for
18    parking spaces in  connection  with  the  Attorney  General's
19    building  on South Second Street to the south of the Illinois
20    Bar Center across Jackson Street.
21        It is to the benefit of the State of Illinois to  resolve
22    the   title   dispute   and   to   secure   adequate  parking
23    arrangements.

 1        Upon the Illinois State Bar Association entering into  an
 2    agreement  satisfactory  to  the  Attorney General concerning
 3    alternate parking arrangements and in consideration  of  that
 4    agreement,  the Attorney General is directed (i) to convey by
 5    quit claim deed all right, title, and interest of  the  State
 6    of  Illinois  in  and  to  the described land to the Illinois
 7    State Bar Association and (ii) to obtain a certified copy  of
 8    the  portions  of this Act containing the title, the enacting
 9    clause, the effective date, and this Section  and  to  record
10    the  certified  document in the Recorder's Office of Sangamon
11    County.".
