1 AN ACT concerning probate.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Probate Act of 1975 is amended by
5 changing Section 11a-1 as follows:
6 (755 ILCS 5/11a-1) (from Ch. 110 1/2, par. 11a-1)
7 Sec. 11a-1. Developmental disability defined.)
8 "Developmental disability" means a disability which is
9 attributable to: (a) mental retardation, cerebral palsy,
10 epilepsy or autism; or to (b) any other condition which
11 results in impairment similar to that caused by mental
12 retardation and which requires services similar to those
13 required by mentally retarded persons. The Such disability
14 must originate before the age of 18 years, be expected to
15 continue indefinitely, and constitute a substantial handicap.
