1 AN ACT in relation to property.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5 adding Section 7-103.139 as follows:
6 (735 ILCS 5/7-103.139 new)
7 Sec. 7-103.139. Quick-take; City of Evanston; downtown
8 redevelopment. Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may
9 be used for a period of 2 years after the effective date of
10 this amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly by the City
11 of Evanston for the acquisition of the following described
12 property for the purpose of redevelopment of the downtown
13 business district and construction of a new municipal garage:
14 LOTS 1 TO 3 IN THE RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 1 TO 5 IN
15 BENSON'S SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 65 IN EVANSTON IN SECTION
16 18, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE THIRD
17 PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS (PIN
18 11-18-304-009; 1624-1630 Sherman Avenue, Evanston,
19 Illinois); also
20 Lot 8 in Benson's Subdivision of Block 65 in Evanston in
21 Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third
22 Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois (PIN
23 11-18-304-007; 814 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois).
24 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
25 becoming law.
