1 AN ACT concerning schools.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by
5 adding Section 5-60 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 230/5-60 new)
7 Sec. 5-60. Study; funding for exceptional population
8 growth. The State Board of Education shall study a way to
9 provide funding for school construction in school districts
10 with exceptional population growth, in which a school
11 district would be entitled to a set amount of money per new
12 student enrolled in the district after that district has
13 reached its classroom capacity. The State Board of Education
14 shall report its recommendations to the General Assembly on
15 or before January 1, 2003. This Section is repealed on
16 January 2, 2003.
