1 AN ACT regarding support.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 10-10.7 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/10-10.7 new)
7 Sec. 10-10.7. Continuances in support enforcement cases.
8 Each party shall be granted no more than 2 continuances in a
9 court proceeding for the enforcement of a support order.
10 Section 10. The Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of
11 Marriage Act is amended by adding Section 505.7 as follows:
12 (750 ILCS 5/505.7 new)
13 Sec. 505.3. Continuances in support enforcement cases.
14 Each party shall be granted no more than 2 continuances in a
15 court proceeding for the enforcement of a support order.
16 Section 15. The Non-Support Punishment Act is amended by
17 adding Section 42 as follows:
18 (750 ILCS 16/42 new)
19 Sec. 42. Continuances in support enforcement cases. Each
20 party shall be granted no more than 2 continuances in a court
21 proceeding for the enforcement of a support order.
22 Section 20. The Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 is
23 amended by adding Section 15.3 as follows:
24 (750 ILCS 45/15.3 new)
25 Sec. 15.3. Continuances in support enforcement cases.
