1 AN ACT concerning higher education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5 adding Section 8b as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 305/8b new)
7 Sec. 8b. Report decline in enrollment. If student
8 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
9 Board of Trustees shall report the reason for the decline to
10 the General Assembly.
11 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
12 Act is amended by adding Section 8e-5 as follows:
13 (110 ILCS 520/8e-5 new)
14 Sec. 8e-5. Report decline in enrollment. If student
15 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
16 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
17 Assembly.
18 Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended
19 by adding Section 5-87 as follows:
20 (110 ILCS 660/5-87 new)
21 Sec. 5-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
22 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
23 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
24 Assembly.
25 Section 20. The Eastern Illinois University Law is
26 amended by adding Section 10-87 as follows:

2 Sec. 10-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
3 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
4 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
5 Assembly.
6 Section 25. The Governors State University Law is
7 amended by adding Section 15-87 as follows:
8 (110 ILCS 670/15-87 new)
9 Sec. 15-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
10 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
11 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
12 Assembly.
13 Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended
14 by adding Section 20-87 as follows:
15 (110 ILCS 675/20-87 new)
16 Sec. 20-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
17 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
18 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
19 Assembly.
20 Section 35. The Northeastern Illinois University Law is
21 amended by adding Section 25-87 as follows:
22 (110 ILCS 680/25-87 new)
23 Sec. 25-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
24 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
25 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
26 Assembly.
27 Section 40. The Northern Illinois University Law is

3 Sec. 30-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
4 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
5 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General

7 Section 45. The Western Illinois University Law is
8 amended by adding Section 35-87 as follows:
9 (110 ILCS 690/35-87 new)
10 Sec. 35-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student
11 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the
12 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the General
13 Assembly.
