1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1713
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1713 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 11, with the following:
4 "candidate or public question, (ii) identify that candidate
5 by name or identify the public question, and (iii)"; and
6 on page 1, by replacing lines 14 and 15 with the following:
7 "(b) The State Board of Elections may impose a civil
8 penalty of $10,000 upon any person, other than a person who
9 is merely an employee of the person or entity who has been
10 contracted with to conduct the push-polling, who violates
11 this Section."; and
12 on page 1, line 18, after "office", by inserting "or public
13 question"; and
14 on page 1, line 22, after "record", by inserting the
15 following:
16 "or asking questions relating to the public question that
17 state, imply, or convey information favorable or unfavorable
18 to the public question".
