House Sponsors: WOOLARD-DAVIS,MONIQUE-MITCHELL,JERRY Short description: WAIVER OF SCHOOL CODE MANDATES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Encourages the General Assembly to promptly review and evaluate the Report on Waiver of School Code Mandates filed by the State Board of Education to determine if the Report should be disapproved in whole or in part. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Disapproves school district requests for waivers made under Section 2-3.25g of the School Code relating to substitute certifi- cates, the compilation of average daily attendance, and charter schools. Provides that no waiver or modifications of certain pro- visions of the School Code concerning the State Board of Education acting as the authorized chartering entity of a charter school shall be available to school districts and that any application for such a waiver or modification shall be ineligible for consideration.
