Short description: 
STATE CONTRACTS-COMPTROLLER                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Provides that  requirements      
   of  the  Code concerning filings with the Comptroller apply to certain      
   contracts and grants otherwise  exempted  from  the  Code.   Effective      
   immediately.                                                                
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Makes the filing requirements applicable only to grants  and  not      
   to otherwise exempt contracts.                                              
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.  (Tabled April 6, 2000)                         
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          15 ILCS 405/14                  from Ch. 15, par. 214                
        Amends the State Comptroller Act.  Provides that the  Comptroller      
   may  prescribe  by  rule  the  general  information to be contained in      
   contracts required to be filed with the Comptroller under the Illinois      
   Procurement Code rather than under Sections of the  State  Comptroller      
   Act that were repealed and replaced by the Illinois Procurement Code.       
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2.                                                 
        In the Illinois Procurement Code, provides that the  grants  that      
   must  be  filed  with  the  Comptroller  are those defined pursuant to      
   accounting standards established by the Comptroller.
