CRIM CD-RETAIL THEFT-RESTITUTN                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961.  Provides that a  merchant  may      
   seek  immediate restitution from the person who commits the offense of      
   retail theft, but only with the informed consent  of  the  person  who      
   commits the offense of retail theft.  Effective immediately.
