Short description: 
CHICAGO USED TIRE FUND                                                     

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Environmental Protection Act  and  the  State  Finance      
   Act.   Creates  the  City  of  Chicago  Used  Tire  Fund  in the State      
   treasury.  Provides that 40 cents from each tire sold in the  City  of      
   Chicago is to be deposited into the City of  Chicago  Used  Tire Fund.      
   Provides that moneys in the City of Chicago Used Tire Fund  are to be       
   appropriated  to  the Department of Revenue in order to distribute the      
   monies  to  the  City  of  Chicago  for  the  purpose  of   performing      
   inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities with regard to      
   used  tires.   Provides  that  certain  allocations from the Used Tire      
   Management Fund that were scheduled to be  discontinued  beginning  on      
   July 1, 2000 shall be continued indefinitely.  Effective immediately.
