Senate Sponsors: JACOBS. Short description: LOBBYIST REGIST-WRITTEN REPORT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Lobbyist Registration Act. Removes the requirement that the registration statement filed by a lobbyist with the Secretary of State be written. Authorizes the Secretary of State to provide by rule for optional electronic filing of a lobbyist's registration and expenditure reports. Removes the requirements that a lobbyist's expenditure report be sworn to under oath and that, within 30 days after the filing deadline, a lobbyist notify each official on whose behalf the lobbyist has reported an expenditure.
