PROP TAX-SR ASSESS FREEZE-VETS                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Property Tax Code with respect to the Senior  Citizens      
   Assessment  Freeze  Homestead  Exemption.  Provides that, beginning in      
   assessment year 2000, "income" does not  include  veteran's  benefits.      
   Effective immediately.                                                      
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that, beginning in assessment year 2001 (now, 2000), the      
   term "income" does not include veteran's benefits.
