For a veteran who (i) served in the armed forces of the United States on or after January 1, 1962, (ii) was eligible to receive an Illinois Veteran Grant, and (iii) did not use and does not intend to use the Veteran Grant for the full equivalent of 4 calendar years of full-time enrollment, allows the veteran's child to use the unused portion of that amount if certain requirements are met. Effective January 1, 2001.
